Long summers nights full of pretending
You be Wendy, I’ll be Peter Pan
I sprinkle my hair with pixie dust,
take a firm grasp on your hand
Come to Neverland, we will never grow up!

Years as a child are full of magic
Anything is possible in your mind
Whenever you want to get away
Pixie Dust is always nearby
Escape from reality

Now that the years have gone by
I wonder if I should have listened to my own advice
Stayed as a child, imagination packed full
Expecting the unexpected
Can’t life be like Neverland?

I see too many people walking by each day
Concerned about things that would never concern a child
I know however, all we ever need to know
We can conjure up from our childlike mind
Don’t You remember Neverland?

Sometimes people should take a break
Grasp each other by the hand
Listen to the shrinking voice inside their mind
Come to Neverland, be a child again
Before it is too late.
