When one is in love it seems a small internal light is the spark of the relationship, and when one partners is extinguished, the others still burns. Alone now...forever.

Every time our lips touched it was just a game to you
I thought you revered my loving hands
Reaching and flailing to grasp true
To hold you tight and love you had never been a strain
But then that night you withdrew from me, nothing can suppress my pain
I fell in love with who I thought you were underneath the cloudy mask
I even would have died for you, if you ever were to ever ask
The world it keeps on spinning, but my mind is in a blur
I will never forget the first time, I saw you instead, kiss her
I remember when that use to be me, all wrapped in your embrace
But I was just the runner up, in your hearts little drag race
My eyes overflow nimbly, as I cry alone at night
My life is a soap opera, playing only Black and White
I can’t believe that I did trust you, with a piece of me so frail
Even if you returned it now, it would be worn and stale
You have left my life but I will continue to dream of you at night
Until the flame’s extinguished  in my small internal light
