A slightly creepy little poem about a twisted place

The Lost Forest

Trees whisper

Poison secrets

Through leaf-rustle

And branch-creak

Vines twist

Dark thoughts

Their green daggers dripping

With unmasked hostility

Clouds roll

Gloom and depression

Their distressed faces pressing

Against all boundaries

The soil aches

With insanity

Leaking From the roots

Embedded beneath the ground

The forest oozes

Mind twisting despair

It’s essence of madness

Throbbing like a headache

And life goes on as normal

Just outside the reach

Of the lost forest
