Ocean Dream

The sea,
the roilling,
the bralling,
the shape-shifting sea.
Such power, such strength.
Standing on the edge of it.
Absorbing its energy.
The wind whips through my hair,
and it flits wildly through the air.
The hurricane in the distance
looms with a grimance.
Rain drips from my pure cotton wite dress.
Thunder and lightening shake the sky with distress.
Soon my tears are mixed with the rain,
as my thoughts carried my mind to him again.
A wave washes over my feet,
displaying my defeat.
I sink down to my knees,
screaming in my mind "please!"
In the darkness I see a figure.
It could be a man but I am not sure.
The image is becoming clearer
until it is as clear as if in a mirror.
Suddenly he's standing there in front of me,
just as wet as I seem to be.
You walk to just within my reach,
and whisper hello to me on this loney beach.
My reply is a question reguarding your presense.
Your answer is avoidence of my questions.
"Why are you crying," he wants to know.
"I can not tell you, I'll just feel low."
The wind whips violently around us.
I can not think of anything to discuss.
I know my entire appearance is a mess.
Sand and rain stain my dress.
He wears a white cotton shirt and jeans.
Off in the ocean the lightening beams.
"I love you," she whispers,
forgetting for a mement fears of hers.
He stares into her eyes
trying to find a disguise.
But there is none.
What is said is actually done.
So you walked right towards me,
closed the gap.
Sat down and patted your knee,
pulled me into your lap.
"I love you too."
"Please don't be so blue."
"You do?!"
"Yes, what I say is true."
I turn to look into his eyes,
hoping not to find a disguise.
There is none.
What is said is actually done.
He places a sweet kiss to my ear.
I give my heart to you, my dear.
Tears yet again begin to stream,
for this truely is my ocean dream.
