Dear Cayden*,

Do you remember everything we shared? Our first kiss. Our first date. It was all perfect. But something inside me was scared. Scared of the things you told me. Things like, \"you're my angel, you're perfect\" etc. I think the scariest thing you said to me was those three simple words: I love you. I didn't know what love was. To be completely honest, I don't think I know what love is now. But at the time, in that immediate moment where you looked me in the eyes, I thought I loved you too. I know, Cayden*. I know I was your first. First girlfriend, first love. But I wasn't honest with you. You weren't my first anything. Even love. Because I never had love. Ever. Sometimes now though, I deprive myself of sleep thinking about you. How did you do this? How did you get into my cold, blackened heart? I didn't deserve you then, and I don't deserve you now. But one thing is for sure, I may not have loved you, but I'll never forget you.

Love, Me
