Leave, Leave, Leave

We kissed

We laughed

We hugged

We fought

We were young

And in love

 

Sometimes I felt like an ocean buoy

Never knowing when the waves would get rough

Pushing me side to side

I knew we would eventually collide

When the tides were low I felt tall

I felt like I could conquer all

Before you came and anchored me down

 

When I couldn’t breathe

You laughed at me

When I told you to leave

I had had enough

For now I know because of he

I no longer wear my heart on my sleeve

 

Leave, leave, leave

I no longer wear
