Squinting as if doing so

would peel back the midnight clouds

blanketing her facade.  I need

look no further her movement

sent the ocean waves sideways.

A serenade she performed

to her garden amongst the

heavens.  Luring me in she

did.  A cup of the most

bitter tea she presented.  As

I drank she whispered.  Her

voice touching my skin like

the finest lace.  As my thoughts

grew heavy I allowed her to

put her body with mine.  Her touch

as refreshing as peppermint with

the highest content of menthol.  Just

as I awoke I caught a glimpse

of her return.  A gift she left

for me.  Drawn from her bed

she sprinkled pistils of

gardenias and stamen from her

finest magnolia.  Their stardust

pollen breeding an earthly

hybrid reminding of her presence.

Her home.  The moon.
