I stand on top of the tower
in which my heart rests,
looking at all the walls that I have built
that still are not broken.
I look into the distance
trying to see where they all end
but all i see are walls
reaching beyond the horizon.
I built these walls
with my own hands
and i wonder why
not even i can get past
these grey barriers
that block all emotions,
all pain.
Many are cracked
in various places
but still stand strong
and not able to break.
One day i hope
someone can break down my walls
so i can watch them
crumble and fall.
But this is a dream
that may never see reality
My heart is safe
in the center of all the walls
but its safety comes with a price:
never knowing what anything feels like
until it lands upon it
and crushes it.

Sadly the walls will also hurt you....When you are ready look this person up..It is possible... and work at pulling the walls down....A good poem

Tue, November 22nd, 2011 4:56ambeautifully relatable.
"walls aren't about keeping people out. There about seeing who cares enough to take them down."
There is some one able to do that for you.
This is a great poem. So true (um, not really for me but for some people) and so sad!
Heehee, this may sound childish but I won't mind taking down anyone's wall. I could be some kind of builder or something! Ram it down with a bulldozer!
...*sheepishly* Sorry.
OK, what I meant was, the wall's gotta come down some times. :D
