I'm totally fed up with this shit in connection our generation's biggest problem, named low self-esteem.
Since I used to be on facebook, I've been struggling with different types of insecurities and have had my eating disorders. I'm not gonna blame any kind of social-networks, though I would totally consider Facebook the biggest portal which causes depression.
I'm 16, and I am not skinny. I'm curvy and I'm not just saying it, because I am. I have my belly, my thights, my boobs and my buttom. I often get hate, some people may say I'm chubby or fat, call it whatever you want.
I have my downs, of course, but after everything I've been through recently I can look at myself without thinking like omfg I'm ugly.but I can't get it, how can girls at my age say that they'd love to be skinnier or thinner. Their biggest dream is to be skinny? Like seriously? They'd starve themselves to reach their goals(which are usually about being thinner)I think it's really two-faced.
Girls, haven't you noticed that you're the ones who push yourselves under pressure to be this and that? I say something to all of you: YOU WILL NEVER BE PERFECT. and even if you could be, that wouldn't necessarily mean you're thin.
In my view, you can be beautiful in a standard way or you can easily create a different type of beauty that is YOU, without shitty regrets.I'm not saying to get curvy and not be smaller, but to be healthy.you might be healthy in the size 0 tho being a size 10 may not mean you're not healthy.
I know, most of the guys at this age prefer smaller girls, but I'm sure they would never ask you to be skinnier. (in most of the cases)
If you wanna lose some weight because you're not comfortable in your own skin, then do it in a healthy way.( by the way you'll never lose weight by starving yourself because if you don't eat for like a day, the food-even if it's an apple- will transform into sugar which is actually fat.)
I know, sometimes it's really hard to look in the mirror and keep telling yourself that you"re beautiful enough and pretty enough and above all INTELLIGENT ENOUGH not to let anyone tell you that you should be this and that to be even prettier.
Becoming confident is much more difficult than getting skinny. try to love yourself, because you're worth it. Forget the ones who say otherwise.
