My name’s Blake Delaney, I’ve lived a pretty normal life until my fifth birthday, I’m now fifteen years of age and work in a special organization which is commonly known as the Legion. I was never considered normal, for a fact, my mental state was declared unstable due to my high I.Q. It is said that my score is above two hundred and that I am a “gifted being”. The Legion found me recently and I’m now a detective, working to solve the most mysterious cases on earth. Even though I said that, it’s not my real goal, my true objective is to annihilate evil.

After having written in his diary, Delaney turned around to look by the window, the scenery was magnificent. It was one of the countless times he was riding a train but the landscape was always so fascinating, he couldn’t keep his eyes away from it, as his eyes began to close he heard a voice far, far away, “Blake, wake up ! Blake !” Suddenly shook from what would have been a peaceful sleep he looked at the inspector with menacing, yet tired eyes, “Why did you have to wake me up ?” ,he asked. The inspector kindly smiled and replied that the destination was not too far from here. Delaney rubbed his eyes, still exhausted from the long trip and started looking at the passengers. He observed them meticulously, when he finally noticed that somebody was also looking at him. The lady smiled. Shy by nature, he blushed and looked away but had that uneasy feeling, as if somebody or perhaps something had its eyes riveted on his back.

When Delaney and inspector Lawrence King finally arrived at their destination, the inspector was being stared at as if he was guilty. He looked back at Blake, “What’s wrong ?” ,he said. “You told me that we would arrive soon, it took us three more hours !” King looked away with a grin and walked towards a man, inviting Delaney to follow him. They all shook hands. The man, after further inspection by Delaney was in fact a really tall nineteen year old boy. His name was Alexander Waldemar Friedrich, a quite noble but eccentric fellow. He was rumored to be very clever and knew a lot about the crimes that were committed since the last months. Only two inspectors were sent due to the town's small size.

Later that night, Delaney and King had a conversation about Friedrich, Delaney revealed that he found the man suspicious but King couldn't get himself to trust a “gifted kid” ‘s intuition. For the sake of being polite, he listened to Blake but didn't pay any real attention. The both of them finally stopped discussing and went straight to their beds, having a big case to solve tomorrow morning. Blake waited until old man Lawrence fell asleep and snuck out of the room, got out of the hotel : He had an appointment with Friedrich. He had to clear up things and “annihilate evil”.

He stood in front of the inn and waited. An hour passed and Delaney was about to go back when, suddenly, he heard someone call his name. Following the voice, he met with Friedrich. During this uncomfortable situation, the both of them remained silent at first. Staring at Delaney, Friedrich asked why he was brought here and if he was sent by King whom he believed suspected him. Delaney replied with a simple grin and turned around, “Just as I thought” he said. “What is it ?” continued Friedrich.

“Oh, I just have all the necessary proof to say that you’re guilty.”

“And how is that ?”

“Well, it’s obvious that you know of the case and inspector Lawrence, but never has he mentionned his last name, has he ? Moreover, why do you think of us suspecting you ? Have you done something that would deserve to be punished ?”

“Well, sir Lawrence King is famous and I don’t see any other reasons why detectives would call me to meet them.”

“These are facts but can you explain the blood stains on the coat you left at the inn ?”

Friedrich’s eyes suddenly became blank and he started to laugh,”You brat, what are you implying ? That I murdered all of these people ?” Delaney replied, “You should have spent more time thinking, dear prey.”

He then drew a knife, ran towards Friedrich and put a hand on his mouth so he wouldn’t scream and stabbed Friedrich in the stomach. Laying his body on the ground he said “Ruhe In Frieden, Alexander Waldemar Friedrich.”
