"Taking Chances" connected!!

These are two examples of Personal Essay Introductions. These two introductions are examples of a Describtive and a Generic Personal Essay intro. The second one is debatable as its more Describtive than Generic. These introductions were originally planned for my (booksie available) Personal Essay "Taking Chances" - my final intor turned out as a combined mixture of both.

Describtive Introduction:

As today I lay my eyes on the painted pair of wooden doors that lead through a lonely hallway towards the art department, the hollow in my chest which once was my heart used to make me turn my face at the linoleum floor beneath me. For a much too long period of time this has been my automatic response for utilising the ingrowing feelings of disapointment my soul used to be overwhelmed by. I predict that my suffering would not have been that unbearable if only the constant reminders of my loss were gone along with my missing heart. Unfortunatley, the comfort and peace that was provided to many of my classmates by the study of S.G art never ceased for me to regret my decision about moving schools. "What if..." I used to ask myself; because afterall, all this comfort and peace and Refuge could also be meant for me! - if only I stayed....All these painful facts the past left behind, Now haunt me only in my sleep...

Generic(debatable) Introduction:

Turning my face to a nearby window, I began to observe the unsyncronised dance performed by the raindrops. The raindrops were acompanied by slicing torrents of wind. I took a momental distraction from this image by picking back-up my 4B charcoal pencil and carefully tracing over a faint pattern. I put my tool aside and spotted the wether outside even more rapid than before. I was sorry for the people outside, regarding the fact once I was outside, too. I only very recently found comfort in this classroom I'm presently in now, in this place I call my Refuge.
