As the waves roll,
the icy water
freezes around my ankles.
The thin layer
of pain melts,
as the water recedes.
Mist rides the wind,
as I wait in the sand.
My jealous soul
desires to be free.
Seagulls scream, cursing the storm.
The water returns,
trapping my feet in a pane of glass.
Wind weaves his complex web,
the resounding whistle seems afraid.
Clouds come in their evening stroll
across the steaming sky.
Acting surprised at the seagulls cries of hate.
The muddled fish creep to the silence,
of a dark abyss.
They hide from the noise
of the storm.
I let my voice ride the winds of the storm,
and scream.
