Like a warm blanket

Like a crisp blue sky

Like the sound of the ocean

Or a still autumn night

Like a beautiful melody

You've never heard before

But something in it takes you away

To a place where you belong

Like studying a photo

Of family long gone before you were

But because you know they're part of you

They feel familiar

My beautiful memory

My peaceful escape

My nostalgic calm

My unscathed bliss

We are not friends

Nor are we enemies

Rather two strangers

Who share the same memories
