This poem describes what it's like to be a writer. Primarily it plays up on the relationship between the writer and the audience.

“Insanity is that thin line between what is real, and what is not. And it is the one thing the human mind and soul slip in and out of without us realizing it”

Controlling everything I see
Distorting all of reality
Space and time
It all bends to my will

Creating worlds, empires
heroes, villains, monsters,
and dark demented corridors
that lead to nowhere

Making all as I see fit
With the power at my fingertips

Do you try to make sense
of everything you see?
Do I need to make you
pay the price with your sanity?

I am the king
the lawmaker
the master of masters
I am the storyteller

Making all as I see fit
With the power at my fingertips

Twisting reason
into madness
I’ll make everything
so unreal

Now I watch
and laugh
as you become
mesmerized in my reality

Making all as I see fit
With the power at my fingertips

Years, months,
and days go by
all in the blink
of an eye

Real and unreal
blur into one
Making sense
like never before

Making all as I see fit
With the power at my fingertips

Now you begin
to accept
everything
you see

My realm
now becomes
home to you
imagination now
is your savior
in your mind
