TAKE US BACK TO EDEN

I see the child that walks barefoot in the streets,

the homeless man that holds his blind father's hand while begging for food,

the prostitute who stands at her regular corner, waiting

and I see a married man stop to take her away.

I hear the loud, but silent cries of abused women,

the songs that exploit women, but I also see them dance to it.

I hear a daughter say the most brutal things to her mother-

but I hear her say the sweetest things to everyone who walks by.

I see people with guns

I hear gunshots

I read that someone was killed in a gunfight

and wonder why?

why do people suffer?

why do people hurt each other?

why would a women sell such a beautiful temple?

I wonder why a married would would break his vows?

and why a child cruel to her mother, but so sweet to everyone else?

Yethope, hopestills exists in people,

I see a little girl run to hug a homeless man,

a man buting food and giving it to a barefoot child

I see a prostitute open her heart to God

and I see me, trying to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders.

Though most of the things I see, hear and read leave me in despair

I still have faith

I still pray to God asking him to take us back to Eden-

back to where it all started.

LORD TAKE US BACK TO EDEN!
