Status: Finished  |  Genre: Poetry  |  House: Booksie Classic

Pessimistic Title.
No lovey-dovey crap.

Originally entitled 'True Love'

Light, Dark,
Shades of Gray,

The Same Old Thing,
As Yesterday

Defeat, Retreat,
With Death I Meet,
Onwards, Upwards,
Backwards, Downwards

Three A.M.
Awake Again,
You've left me Alone,
And so I pick up the Phone

No Answer, Spreading the Cancer
Of Doubt
Self Destruction, Combustion,
The Usual Route

Love, Hate,
War, Peace,
Pleasure, Pain,
All Within Me

Sleep, I can't,
'He won't know,' You pant,
Twelve miles away,
Same as Yesterday

I know your Tricks,
I know your Trade
But I can't Admit,
Our Love Can Fade

It's dead, It's gone,
As I let out a sob,
I know it's true,
You led me along

I weep, I break,
I snap Inside,
Deep Within,
My Heart has Died

One time too many,
It's too late for that,
The things I say,
Make you Hate Me Back

Another Dead, Another Gone,
True Love is Elusive, like a fleeting Song
Lost, Lonely,
My emotions seem phoney

For the Last Time,
I begin to Cry
