I’M LIVING IN A PLACE CALLED ANGEL STREET

THE KIND OF PLACE WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME,

YOUR BUSINESS TOO!

EVEN THOUGH THEY’VE NEVER MET YOU.

ANGEL STREET

WHERE MEN AND WOMEN LABBA-LABBA ALL DAY LONG;

SAYING THEY’RE FRIENDS

WHERE LOVE AND HATE IS THEIR THING.

NUMBER FIVE IS A GOSSIP WHO CARRIES A GRUDGE.

EVIE BOYES KNOWS THE MEN WHO ARE PLAYING AROUND.

BARRY JONES RUNS A DRINKS CLUB FOR DOWNTRODDEN MEN.

THERE THEY ALL GET TOGETHER DISCUSSING WOMEN.

I’M LIVING IN ANGEL STREET

WHERE CHATTY-CHATTY PEOPLE VERY SELDOM SLEEP;

THEY GOSSIP IN SHIFTS

TO MAKE SURE SOMEONE’S ALWAYS WATCHING.

ANGEL STREET

WHERE MIXED UP MEN AND WOMEN BICKER ALL THE TIME;

THEY’VE NOTHING TO DO

JUST CHATTY-CHATTY SU-SU!

THEY MAKE COMMENT’S ABOUT EACH OTHER BEGRUDGINGLY.

THERE’S ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND PEOPLE,

ANGELS YOU WON’T SEE.

THERE ARE JUNKIES, LADIES OF THE NIGHT, PIMPS AND THE LIKE.

NO ONE BOTHERS THEM AT ALL,

THEY JUST LIVE FOR THE TIME!
