Within the banks of memory hold,

stored I some things I never told.

Inspired by thoughts heart’s chambers keep.

All that I hoard in dormant sleep.

For only echoes of optimistic dreams,

can touch the surface or know what I mean.

As in quiet reflection by sea I sit,

where swallows swarm, and waters swish.

To take command of secret kept,

where chanted words overseas are swept.

Even darkened night, gloom grey sky.

Will be witness to the memory, deep and cry.

For they are the one’s who will hear the pain,

as I open my heart and clear my brain.

There is no one with whom I can or will share

What ails my solitude, I bear.

I sit at the sea and release now a sigh,

and I watch the waters rise in rage and high.

Effectively they will take my memory to pastures new.

The soul of my memory, no longer blue

Will seek destination in the place where I

Look on as this memory now will die!
