Sometimes it is easier to just close your eyes and forget.

I never want to admit that I care

You are the silent thief that stole me

My bubble of confidence is long gone

Replaced by a little lost girl seeking for you

Yet there are moments I feel like a princess

Because you chose me

In a sea of treasures you stumbled upon me

Like a pirate you took me and made me yours

But I never want to admit that I care

Because the moment I do I will recognize

So I am oblivious to how much you hurt me

I think of how simple it would if I couldn’t feel

But I cannot blame you, but I can never admit

I am naught but a small piece of treasure in your vast collection

But I will never admit it because if I do

It will kill me

I am like a pearl

hidden deep in cobwebs crying for you
