Nuance
The Volume on a Radio
At warm decibels with just
The right bass and treble as Beast of Burden rhythmic
Guitar sets in with a kick drum snare swing feel time
Reminds me of Evening walks to the store
or waiting to meet a friend.
Who helps to ease the mind.

The Nuance of Occitan to
Latin rolling off the tongue
As a Pizza is ordered on Penn Ave
With pen in hand asking for a phone number,
and directions to the Plaza.
Slow Motion for me as Atlantic waves gently splash rocks
And pop music moves my pulse on A Boardwalk
Side arm pitching stones
waking the ripple.

Sips from a bottle with notes
Help to ease my leisurely discourse
with a vendor who’s vinyl pitching stance
tells me he “aint too Proud to Beg”
and seeking treasure in the sand is as profitable
as a Bird in Hand.

Nuance finds me when I least expect it
Every now and then, yet then again
A tide comes in to wash away the Odds.-LyraHydaComa/penultimate©2013

Nuance on Ardsley...

Latin fusion rolling off a drum humming "soul"

While ordering a Pizza on Penn Ave

With pen in hand dreaming up Spiritual tattoos

and directions to the Plaza- piaza D' Kings.

Slow Motion for me as Atlantic waves gently splash rocks

And pop music moves my pulse on A Boardwalk

Side arm pitching stones

waking the ripple.

Sips from a bottle with notes

Help to ease my leisurely discourse

with a vendor who’s vinyl pitching stance

tells me he “aint too Proud to Beg”

and seeking treasure in the sand is as profitable

as a Bird in Hand.

Nuance finds me when I least expect it

Every now and then, yet then again

A tide comes in to wash away the Odds.-LyraHydaComa/penultimate©2013
