Tug Tug

Back and forth

The push and pull of love

given at the whim of your convenience

I give, you get

You give and I get crumbs

Of leftover energy and desperate needs

That clung to your core

since before I was born

And you keep coming back

To a place that dizzies me

And it seems you crave

Everything I have but cannot give

To you, you who is too close

Too intertwined in the origin of my existence

To comprehend the deviance of your adoration

Tug Tug

Back and forth

Pushing and pulling

to scrape up crumbs

From the floor of a scattered heart
