When you glare at me until I’m cold all over, I’m still warm inside

Cause you’re looking at me

Your words leave my ears shredded with hatred, I can’t help smiling

Cause you’re words are for only me

And even when you plant kisses with your fist, I don’t mind

Cause at least you’re touching me

That’s the sick thing, the twisted thing

Every touch, look, word, leaves me filled up, sated

For a moment, it was just me in your thoughts

And even as the bruises fade, the words lose their sting, I know

That I was monopolising your mind, for one painful second

So break my heart with gentle lies

That we both know you can’t keep

I watch once more as you’re blinded to me

Wait for the slip, the crunch that lets that beautiful hatred back into your eyes

And I lap up the burning gold slap, eyes closed ready

In the knowledge that mine is the only face you think of

So take a rough breath my dear, and think of me once more
