Does she love me? Am I just chasing my tail? She tells me she's got issues but, is that just her way of letting me down gently to the fact she thinks I'm a dork? Or, does she love me and doesn't want to get hurt again?

Please Take This Flower.

We have been hurt so many times; from some of our first memories to the present day.  Intentional pain is one of the hardest to forgive and forget.  We have lived our lifetime building walls around us because the pain becomes more and more unbearable because not only are we angry with the ones that hurt us but we add in two healthy scoopfuls of anger at ourselves for allowing these vicious people into our sanctuary.  So, their actions beget one stone and our allowance of them brings another stone PLUS stronger mortar to hold the wall together.

I stand on the outside of your wall; which means that I am on the outside of MY wall!  I am vulnerable to attach.  I am Bambi in the middle of the meadow on opening day of Hunting Season.  I see the hunters.  I can feel their presence and I hear them approaching.  I am very scared but the love I feel for you and the greatness we WILL achieve together far outweighs the danger nipping at my heels.  I stand patiently looking for any movement from within your domain.  My arm is outstretched with one single solitary rose in my trembling hand.  Won’t you please, let me in?  We can save each other.  I bring no weapons or armor – just scars from my previous battles.  Take me in and I pledge my life and my allegiance to you – forever more.
