This poem was written last winter. I had rough go of it last winter. It seemed like every way I turned there was a roadblock and I just wanted to be through to the other side and be done with it.

I have learned how

Not to trust

Me, you, or anyone at all

And I want to know

The how and where

It all took the fatal fall

After All ~

I have learned how

Not to love

From you, friend

And I want to know how

You locked up

That love within

After All ~

You're just a joke

Laughing at me

When the mirror looks into you

What is it that you see?

After All ~

I so desire

To live and breathe

Out in the open air

And I want, I need

To believe, you aren't

Standing there, waiting patiently

To snuff out the essence of me

After All~

I feel so jaded

Emotionally bankrupt

I opened my soul

You opened your hand

You're so corrupt

Demand after demand

After All ~

You're just  the joke

Laughing at me

When the mirror looks into you

It's not all the funny

After All.
