Another re-vamped college poem. I went to the college today so I am in that kind of mood tonight. This one is about being kind to ourselves and to others.

With a handful of wishes

And a tear stained face

I fan an ember of hope

For all the human race.

With so little thought

We tear down a fellow soul

And just as our heart's begin to forgive

It's too late, they've been buried in the ground.

Surely there must be answer

Somehow, someway to make it alright

A simple moment of truth

One shining bright light.

We must not be so easily swayed

Burning with prejudice, blinded by fear

We must not lose our own soul

To the undercurrent of voices

We can feel, but cannot hear.
