This poemis about missing Rob. I didn't let myself grieve for him until I got free of the abusive situation that I was in. When I did find myself alone I also found myself face to face with the grief I should have dealt with. This is actuallyoneof my favorite poems. A bit dark. But a whole lot honest.

I'm sitting here again

Halfway up the empty stairwell

It's dark and it's cold

But then it always is

It always rains here

No one ever comes by here anymore

Cut and be damned

I'm missing you again

You were the flame in my soul

The music in the dying light

Now you're just a sparkle of stars

That ain't shining tonight

I guess I'll just sit here solo

Cause if I can't sit by you

I'll just have to talk to myself

About the ghosts and the memories

And the shadows on the wall

I'll talk about how you found me

And how I never guessed you'd be the one gone

I'll tell the world and no at all

How you amused me

Your leaving confused me

You were what was going to make me

But in the end you were what was the break in me.
