Depression
is more than just feeling sad
Depression
is more than just hating yourself
and wasting your days wishing them away.
Depression
is more than just blaming yourself
Depression
is all of that and more

Depression
is seeing this tunnel as an endless abyss
Depression
is opening up when opportunity knocks
only to discover a trap door.
Depression
is waking up to a judgment that was never given
Depression
is expecting the word even when it's impossible to fail

Depression
is more than just needing help
Depression
is more than just hurting yourself
for no real or good reason at all
Depression
is more than just feeling foreign
Depression
is all of this and more

Depression
is considering how much better Earth would be without you
Depression
is trying to help other people before yourself
because you don't believe you deserve help
Depression
is not feeling good enough at anything or for anyone
Depression
is not something anyone would choose.
