Apologetically sorrowful

Being angry
Shouting
Throwing things
Mental abuse
Threatening behaviour
Violent conduct
Self harm
Screaming
Being a moody bastard
Kicking things
Punching stuff
Cursing at old people
Having a go at cashiers
Threatening to nail bomb cold callers
Threatening to throw health care professionals
 through windows
Being a total arsehole
Forgetting the important stuff
Forgetting the little things
Not caring about others feelings
Not giving a shit about myself

Always it seems that I am saying sorry
Asking others to accept my apologies
Please accept my apologies for being a bastard
Oh sorry for saying that
Look I am sorry for doing that
Oh god I am sorry for forgetting that
Good god I have to apologise for everything
Just accept it’s all my fault
and that I am very sorry
Tell me what you want me to say
As sorry is all I have today
I can’t help it I’m sorry
Can’t you see it’s killing me being this nasty
All I ever do is say sorry
Have I let you down again,
You don’t know how sorry I am
At the end of the day
I apologise for my use of the word sorry
 it’s just a convenient way
to try and end a bad situation
and most of the time if I am honest
 I don’t even mean it.
How can I be sorry when the only thing
 I am really sorry about
Is the fact that I did not die in the accident
And then everyone I have hurt or offended
 over the last three years
 could have been spared
and my loved ones could have mourned
then moved on with their lives
 and not been subjected
 to an overwhelming amount
 of apologetically insincere bullshit.
SORRY!
