I am a bird, yes
But I cannot fly

My wings have been clipped

It's insufferable, really
But they can never see it
I  mustn't show it

For they are the ones that clipped my wings

I've been stiffled and chained, so I've abandoned all sorts of sentimentality
In regards the things I can no longer use to fly
I wonder if they are satisfied

I also cannot fly away because my wings have been broken

Broken like shattered hopes
And abandoned dreams
And a broken heart

I desire freedom and yet neither are attainable
It is impossible to fly with clipped and broken wings
It's unsufferable for me but I know no other existance and I cannot trade this one for another

I can only hope they're satisfied
