I open the front door

with my friends behind me.

And wonder whats in store

when we leave.

The boat sits

on the  bank

and ripples hits

its gray flank.

I quietly step in

and take my seat.

The boats sides of tin

is scraping my feet.

The motor roars

like a thousand lions

and then we soar

we're going so fast were flyin.

We break the surface

of the crystal water

and the fishes swim

to aviod us, a speeding blur.

The trees whistle

as we pass by

here comes some thistle

its growing mightly high.

This is not all we see

not my friends or me.

But when you take a ride across the lake

you don't know what you ever will wake.
