Hey Guys I'm back!

One candle sits here
The other, by the open window
Each candle is the same
Yet, it is different

The one which is closer
Sits still and deaf
But the flame flickers slightly, every minute or so
Cascading smoke towards the open window

The other, though
Is deaf like the other but still it not for
The roar of the wind threatens to extinguish the light
Of which it had grasped and fought for , since it’s first life

The same, yet different
Red, orange, a flame flickers on the tip of its wick
But each flame has found a different foundation

What foundation do you choose?
Where will your flame be?
This decision, where we choose to burn
Will affect us until our flame no longer flickers

Welcome back Maggie! I missed you. What a nice return. Truly a metaphor for life itself with so many paths to take.

As someone who thinks deeply on life often I enjoy when people ask deep questions, and you certainly did, great poetry, Maggie.
