Our 'The End'

Wrapped in your arms
As I drown in your eyes,
 Swaying to and fro
My head rests against your chest.
Your hand in mine
My other resting upon your shoulder,
Slow music singing a sweet melody
Space between us does not exist
A closeness that isn’t close enough
Hips brushing hips
Feet moving rhythmodically,
Glancing into your face
You read my mind,
Lips meet in a solid embrace
Warm, sweet, perfect—
All things forgotten—
Fallen under a spell,
One that ends as the kiss breaks.
Tears fill my eyes as I pull away
Realizing this cannot last
One last quick smooch
Before I pull away
And run of into the darkness
Disappearing forever
Heartbroken to find…
That you do not chase me.
