Before you came into my life,

it was peaceful, normal, and I was happy.

When you decided to break my heart,

I realized I let myself fall for a jerk.

Now that I am free of you,

I know that you can not love.

You ignored me in my times of need,

irritated me in my times of anger.

Ever since you began to hate me,

my eyes have been opened wide.

I can see the black in your soul,

the empty space where your heart should be.

I can see the hate that fills your eyes.

Now that you're out of my life,

I have learned that my heart is not with you,

but with the one who actually cares.

He tells me he loves me every day.

You never did, not even when I said it to you.

When I'm with him, he makes me feel important.

You made me feel like a worthless nothing.

I've noticed something about all this,

I found love and happiness without you.
