The sun has fallen, eve is upon us now
To help inflate our ego, which we endow
The night only strengthens the source of our impediments
Looking far too closely, we can see all the evidence

Our convictions crumbled like just another wall
We had it all yet were destined to quickly fall
The outcome was never open for us to discuss
Is our complacency needed or is it just us?

On the edge of the horizon lies the haze
As it slowly billows through I can only gaze
Shrouded by the expectations I strive to be
Disarray in things I can only hope to see

As the new day dawns, the sun shines bright
You're free to capture your new daylight
Its vibrant colors have been found
This twilight is where we are bound
