A pulse exists, the presence is faint
Free yourself of your own self-restraint
The heart of the matter is quite profound
Amplify the ethereal sound; let it resound
In the heat of battle, all's fair in war
Aggressively passive, passions soar
With one glance, an entrance that's fiery
At last I'm free of this glass menagerie

I roam with the foxes and hunt with the hounds
Listen to the prey - can you hear their sounds?
They lay in danger's way, a cycle that could be broken
If only someone would stand up, speak for the unspoken

Can't someone hear their plea?
Sobriety is losing its priority
Society's body remains jaded
Its consciousness has dissipated
The proper course has been long overdue
With a rush of blue, please imbue
The wounds which I cannot cleanse
Just sterilize, soak, and rinse
