Dreaming in Black and White

The wicked face of Depression came up from behind,

“In the days that is to come I will hide you in Pandora”

Darkness loomed over me as I wished the world be more kind

Through the cold I walked thinking, “Was I just an extra?”

The surrounding with blue and gray gloomed of sadness

The serene tranquility of this life was awe striking

I had no luck but fate and Fate like always thrived in madness

I walked in the land of grey wondering, “Where is my King?”

A black cloak and a sad stroke had caused devastation

The King had arrived, that much was evident

Shuffling through the woods, I encountered frustration

He exclaimed, “My Queen! Time is can’t be spent!”

As I rushed to see what my Fate had held for me

Who was this king and why I became his queen?

My king was none but Depression, how could this be?

“Why my Lady do your eyes search so? You aren’t to be keen.”

Fate smiled, “Depressed Queen of Depression, I’m afraid,”

I knew why this had come but Fear shook me, “Everyone quiet!”

I had amused myself in one sole thing; Depression’s raid

Fate concluded, “I’ve brought this, for you only dream in black and white.”
