Very rythmic itself!
Thanks for reading Charli :)
Fantastic, Martine. Breathtakingly beautiful. The imagery you convey is just so wonderful and touching. "Little oracles commanded by fate." Wow, just where did you learn to manipulate words with such finesse and prose? You're so talented - it's a crime that you underestimate yourself with characters when you're capable of writing such majesty :)
Thank you so much Nik! I'm really glad you liked this poem and grateful that you took the time to give it a read :) You always leave such encouraging and thoughtful comments; I really do appreciate them??
See, now that's what I mean by sophisticated. You took a simple idea and turned it into something eloquent yet powerful. The format and descriptions were spot-on. I think poems that rhyme a lot are cool, but only if they're easily lyrical. Like Nik, I prefer poetry that's a bit more complex. I also love writing metaphors, therefore I love reading them as well. I've never been disappointed after reading one of your poems. You're just so classy, as this work clearly shows.
Thanks so much Gideon. I can't tell you how much it means that you feel this way about my writing. I do have a thing for rhyming poems too (when I first started writing, they all rhymed! When I re-read them now I just cringe; it’s so embarrassing) but I really prefer a more complex and flowing style as you stated. Thanks so much for leaving such a kind and thoughtful comment :)??
Wonderful! I like everything about it! Great form and flow, I am a big fan of free verse, like the challenge. You did it very well. Profound lines.
Hi Bob :) Thanks so much for reading! I'm really happy you liked this poem. Thanks again for leving such a thoughtful comment??
Oh wow!!! I love poems like these. So simple, and short, but they say everything in the world!!! =) Really beautiful. I love it!
Great job!!! =)
Hi Ali :) Thanks so much for reading! I'm glad you liked this poem; thanks again for leaving such a thoughtful comment??
What can I add to the other comments you've received on this poem? Nothing, they all said it perfectly, great poem!
Thanks so much for reading Mike :) I'm so glad you liked this poem!
Short and sweet. Works quite nicely.
Thanks so very much for reading Michael:)
Wow... simple and exquisite!! another super poem!
Thanks for reading Arun :) I'm happy you liked it??
The rains are indeed little oracles of fate as you clearly stated. In fact i see the rain as a conglomerate of the blessings and destinies from The Almighty. May God open the flood gates of heaven and embarrass you with showers of blessings. Why you'd you be embarrassed writting rhymes. I understand that it limits you and restricts your flow. But the truth remains that rhyme is the soul of every poem. Its cool if you disagree.
Thanks for the lovely comments. Rain is an enchanting worldly wonder given by God. I'm not embarrassed to write rhyming poems, I just meant in the past, when I was just starting to write, all my poems were love poems that rhymed and they are just embarrassing to look at now! I agree with your statement that "rhyme is the soul of every poem" one of the most meaningful poems I’ve ever written is "Poison of The World" and it rhymes :) I'm really glad you liked this poem though; thank you again for reading :)
"The heartbeat of the world" :) excellent!
Thanks a bunch for reading and commenting Faith :) I'm happy you liked this one!
