wow, so deep and very special indeed!!! certainly love this wonderful, dramatic piece!! so much emotion too! GREAT WORK, LOVE IT!!
Thanks so much Glitter :) I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I must agree with the above, indeed it is wonderfully crafted! emotional, a poem by someone who feels what he writes and knows indeed about his subject! One cannot but relate to it! Excellent!
Thank you very much Montrose(Epic name btw ^_^). I appreciate your comments and I'm really happy you got a message from this work. Thank you :)
Wow. Talk about suffering for your art! Very interesting! 8)
Thanks Moo :) I'm glad you got a message from this piece. I wrote it mainly to identify with other writers who may have taken a break from their habit of writing but will never actually break it.
I'm with the first commentor.
Thanks Flag :)
wowie zowie! god how i wish i could be as passionate about the stuff i write as that. i'm more passionate about reading, and through that i absorb and absorb until i can't stand it any more and it just sort of spills out on to a piece of paper. but you are right, i will never give it up. they are my children. (i think i need to go read more of your stuff now) bruce.
Thank you Bruce. I'm so glad you got a meaningful message from my work :) I wrote this for all the writers that couldn't give up on writing even if they wanted to.
Maij, thank you for entering this... this is beautiful. I wish I could say more but... using description and emotion is hard for me right now at this time in my life. So, while I just say beautiful... know it's more than that. Thank you for entering, keep writing
Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss and I pray for your healing.
I really like your poem. Can´t wait to read some more of your stuff. G-man
Thank you so much :) I really appreciate you giving it a read!
Zhweeeee... what a brilliant writ!
Slave to his art! I like it...
Take care, my fellow slave, for we all are slaves haha...
Haha :) I'm glad you enjoyed the read; thanks a million for your positive comments?
"A slave to his art, he is forced to endure, the miserable delight, that epitomizes his craft." Pure art. That line epitomised the struggle every artist faces on a day to day basis. So much beauty yet so much eloquence in this point. Absolutely staggering. Every poem I read keeps getting better and better.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I'm glad that you understood my intended message in writing this poem. It's an ode to all writers and artists alike who couldn't quit their craft if they wanted to (and believe me, I've tried and failed). Thank you again for reading; your comments were wonderful???
Oh yes, I can definitely see why they would want to publish this one. As much as I love writing, it does at times feel like a curse. I'm a creative insomniac. I only sleep up to five hours a night because the ideas never stop coming. I have tons of notebooks and a journal that I keep nothing but ideas in. I'm constantly jumping up at night to jot them down.
Sister, this was such a lovely piece. You never fail when it comes to impressing me with your talent and the eloquent, intricate way in which your mind works.
Hey Giddy :) thanks so much for reading! Wow, you are cursed! lol, but I admire your ardor for the craft. There are times when I wonder if the struggle is all worth it and call it quits, but I can never stay away. Thanks so much for the beautiful comments; Im so glad you liked this poem.??
This is so true and very insightful of you see. You nail the drive and lack of satisfaction. Artists can never be fully satisfied, only driven!
Fantastic poem and great brown eyes to see the world of people around you with such clarity!
Wow, thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comments! I agree that the truly hungry artist will never really be satisfied. Thank you again for reading; I really do appreciate your comments!
