I think, I just skipped a beat,

When I heard sound of your footsteps,

I was on the verge of dying,

When you looked right in my eyes and then smiled,

All this time, I heard about love,

But now I am in love,

Yes in love with you,

The first day you asked, my name,

I totally forgot what to say,

The next I hoped you’d say,

Hey lets hang around, but you didn’t come right away,

You told her I am your best friend,

And I had to smile right back at you girlfriend,

It shattered me , But till this date, I skip a beat when I hear your footsteps
