I am a wilting cherry blossom.
I wonder if anyone realizes I cry myself to sleep every night.
I hear the chatter of secrets, confidential things I should not know.
I see that we are nowhere near to borderline of what we could be.
I want the people I love to see past my false smile an realize I am
crumbling to peices.

I am a wilting cherry blossom.
I pretend to be who I am not to make others smile.
I feel a love like no other, one that leads me to lie for their sake
I touch my own skin to make sure I am still there.
I worry that I will be rejected by people I lie for.
I cry, knowing that my once peaceful identity has been thrown into

I am a wilting cherry blossom.
I understand that I am being torn apart by my many faces.
I say that a lie told is like a sharp blade stabbed near the heart,
close to dying, but not dying, and the pain would not go away.
Every time I look at the scar,
it would bring back the dark, lurking memories
deep in my heart.

I wish for someone who will look deep inside me,
and see for who I truly am
and return me to my original luster.
I try to keep my secrets, but I know that discovery is inevitable.

I am a wilting cherry blossom.
Who are you?
