With glazed eyes and empty rooms

With glazed eyes and empty rooms
One must sit back and howl at the moon
Tell me, tell me something please
Let's just float away in the breeze

Mrs. Morgan what's she on?
She's here in the night and gone by dawn
What your children, please beware
There are dangerous things in the air

Chemicals baking in the sun
Tony down the block is upped by none
Tell me, tell me something please,
Since when does Mona get down on her knees

We've lost all hope, but we're trying hard
We can't go home cause we've all been barred
Life's a mess, but still we jest
Come on, let me hit that

Jimmy Morgan went to jail
The whole damn block put up for bail
Everyone thinks it cause he's transgender
The officer says he went off on a bender

Tell me, tell me something please
Why is it life has no guarantee
We're trying hard, and still we fail
There's no escape, that ship has sailed
