This poem is dedicated to my grandmother in memory of her one and only true love.

When I wake each morning Before I ever open my eyes I see you, your bright beautiful smile I hear your laughter the loveliest sound I ever heard Then I open my eyes and I remember Your not here with me anymore

I sometimes wonder why God has taken you away from me But then I think you Your eyes so bright with love just for me Your hands so big but oh so soft I remember your smile that would brighten a room And your loving touch that could melt my heart

That, my love, is when I thank God for you being with me even for a short time You stole my breath, with a glance My heart, with a touch My life, with a vow to love me forever

And that, my dearest love. Is what made you, Gods Greatest Gift To me
