Miss Mary Max

She bought an axe

For fifty cents

She beheaded her mother

Out by the fence

Cops sent her to jail

Her roommate was male

He made her life hell

So she hung herself

Inside their cell

Her cellmate was blamed

For it he was maimed

The prisons were parted

Between women and men

That’s how it started
