Houses were burned and villages were razed

If the evil wyrm was not praised

Men were butchered and women slaughtered

Whether mother, son, brother, or daughter

Many kingdoms chose to unite

But the drake just laughed at their plight

He scattered the army, he burned the men

And none were ever seen again

Finally a champion arose

The man’s name was Mose

He urged on his mighty steed

A sturdy horse of hearty breed

The slayer dismounted, searched, and hid

Then noticed the dragon eating a kid

He gave a gasp and charged the beast

Said, “On your carcass I shall feast!”

The red shot out his fiery breath

And before he submitted to death

Mose cut off the dragon’s head

Then fell upon its golden bed

And neither were ever seen again
