Sad and depressed,

A young woman, with a lot of shit on her chest,

She's kept her mouth shut and her claws suppressed,

Tired of the tears and heartache caused by her ex.

Lonely and ashamed,

A young man, keeps a smile on his face to appear sane,

He's kept his lips sealed and his actions tamed,

Tired of the lies and betrayals of his dame.

Their fates meet,

Both victims of a heart's retreat,

Neither able to compete,

With the pain caused by a past's deceit.
