My most favourite place in the world... THE LIBRARY!
Yes it's kinda cliche, a writer who loves the library but seriously, I don't know who I would have been if I wasn't presented with the opportunity to read.

The quiet, whoosh of the automatic doors as they serenely move apart. The gentle, cool breeze that ruffles your hair as you take in a deep breath. The scent of old, classic books mixed with the pungent odour of new ones, tickles your nose. The quiet whirr of machines acts as a sort of soothing melody mixed in with the occasional beeps of barcodes. Everything looks inviting and the simplicity of it all strikes you. It is magnificent.

You carelessly run your fingers over the spines of well-read books and a million and one stories flow through your fingers, each one unique. One book stands out, and you gently pry it away from its neighbours. You find a secluded spot in a corner, with it's well-worn, black beanbag leaning against the pale, cream walls. Sinking into the beanbag, it conforms to your shape, wrapping you safely in its arms. You open the well-read pages, and wonder about who it's shared its story with  how many eyes have looked upon , and what they have done with its stories.

And then, after one last lingering glance of your surroundings, you begin to read.
