I recalled about everything which happened in my life. I closed my eyes. I started to tell him

“After going you, everything got changed, me, my thoughts, the relation between Reshma and me, and my family’s financial position. Reshma thought that I was connecting with you and I am cheating with her. I love you but you were not near me. I was confused that you also felt about me as I was. We settled this city.  I always think about you. I tried to forget you but I couldn’t.”

Some tears dropped down from my eyes. He wiped it by his fingers and asked innocently, “Why did you want to forget me?”

I saw towards his face and said with smile, “Because I had not trust on you.”

“Now have you?” He asked.

I nodded and hugged him tightly, “Yeah, more than me.”

He hugged me back, “I am always with you. I promise I will never leave you alone.”

We separated from each other with smile. He asked, “Are you connected with Reshma now?”

I shook my head with no, “She thinks I was connected with you that’s why she didn’t want to keep any connection with me.” I got sad.

“I understand.”  I saw towards him with confusion and asked, “Why does she hate you so much? Please tell me the reason. She stopped to talk me. She never did it before. Please tell me the reason.”

He saw towards me and said with sadly, “I should have told you before. I have a past. (I was listening him with concerned.) She was in my college. We were friend. We liked to each other more than friends. That time, Uday and I was best friend. Even, we didn’t hide anything from each other. Uday also knew her.

One day, I proposed her and she accepted. I thought she loved me. But I was wrong. She had another affair. She never told me about that guy. She was cheating me.

After some months, she eloped with that guy without saying me anything. Then I knew that she was cheating me. After that, I didn’t want to keep any connection with her. Reshma met Uday before some days. She doesn’t know anything about it. She thought I was wrong that’s why she hates me. Uday didn’t want to hurt her that’s why we left to talk each other with mutual decision.

Now tell me. Am I wrong or not?”

As he stopped, I asked, “What is name of your ex?”

“Tina….” He saw towards my faded face and asked, “Is something wrong? Do you also think that I am wrong?”

I only stared him because I didn’t know what to say. I understood why Reshma wants to keep me away from Karan. He shook me and asked, “Kalpana, Give me my answer.”

I came out from my thoughts and saw towards his face. I tried to read his face. He waswaiting for my answer. I saw towards my feet and said, “I don’t know who is wrong and who is right?”

“What? What do you want to say? Do you think I am wrong or you don’t have trust on me? Do you think I am telling a lie with you? ” He asked me.

I shook my head with “no”, “It isn’t true. I need time to think.”

“For what?”

I knew he had my questions but I needed time to understand every situation. It might be earlier to say anything.

He scolded, “But I need your answer now. You love me or not.”

I said, “I am not saying that I don’t love you.”

“Then why do you need time?”

I asked, “Do you know who Tina is?”

“What do you want to say?”

“She is my cousin.”

He saw towards me with blank eyes. I think he also understood the situation. He didn’t say me anything.

It was too late that’s why he dropped me at my home. We didn’t talk anything in the way. We wished good bye with smile to each other. I came inside my home with slowly steps.
