Sonia’s challenge, which is: write a poem using all of the following words.
Apple/ale/ash/ark/ask/ape/slippery/shiver/snake/snail/slime/slice/sugar
I’m going to take my shot at rhyming the words into some sort of story format
relating to events that happen in my daily living activities. This is all about "Camping With My Sister"

Camping With My Sister
When I went camping with my sister Gail
we’d munch on an
APPLE to keep us both well
and gathered up firewood that had to be
ASH
then sit around the campfire enjoying the bask
friends would stop by to visit us without fail
and we always offered them a cold pint of
ALE

Our favourite campsite was very old and dark
and everyone said it reminded them of Noah’s
ARK
it sat on slope often
SLIPPERY with the rain
folks would often
ASK: don’t you find that a pain?
We went up slow as a
SNAIL; on all fours like an APE
then lie in the sun until we were thoroughly baked

We had an old
SNAKE who hung out on our site
and we kept him around to chase vermin a night
many a folk would complain, scream and
SHIVER
and we always laughed while watching them quiver
there is one other thing that’s often quite a bother
finding ants in the
SUGAR makes the content smaller

Writing this little story has really been a
SLICE
and I hope that most people will find it real nice
summer is over our camping days have to end
knowing that next year we’ll start all over again
I had a small problem working in the word
SLIME
but all of Sonia’s words are woven into my rhyme
