An acquaintance of mine Celebrated 65th birthday and wanted some music from an earlier time, was aware of my massive record collection and wanted me to make a compilation of
all time hits from other eras. This little rhyme was written to go with the gift cassette.

HAPPY 65th Birthday
The little gift
The number one tune on the day of your birth
was sung by “Ben Bernie” right here on earth
Yes, the day you arrived so pink and round
heard everyone whistling “sweet Georgia Brown

I searched through my music to find that old tune
but discovered it missing, oh gloom, oh gloom
The songs I’ve selected to play on this tape
are from the forties and fifties
I sure hope they sound great

my gift is small, yet so power packed
with a specific intent to make you look back
Sixty-five years isn’t really all that long
it only seemed that way while looking
for your original Birth Song
