I miss you when we don’t talk,

I cry when you’re away.

Just don’t go anywhere.

Can you please just stay?

I know you’re my mum,

And someday we’ll part.

But promise me

I’ll stay in your heart.

I don’t want to leave.

I don’t want to go anywhere.

When I need someone to talk to

Who’s going to be there?

I miss you already.

And you haven’t even gone.

Imagine how it will be.

When I have to move on.

I can’t even start.

Can’t begin to comprehend

How much it would hurt.

To lose my best friend.

Before I do.

Just promise me this.

I can count on you.

For a hug or a kiss.

I love you ma

As you already know.

But I dread the day.

I have to let go.
